A Word From Lynn
Good day my family, friends and fans. “It’s
been a long time coming, but a change is gonna come,”
eloquent lyrics sung so smoothly by the late singer and entertainer
Mr. Sam Cook. Those were the days of real records not a CD
or DVD!!!! The days when being professional and having manners
meant something. When etiquette was taught in the home. When
a lady was a lady and knew she was a lady, dressed like a
lady and was a role model for the new ladies. When a man was
a man and became a man that possessed the power to spread
wisdom, and knowledge amongst his flock. A wistfulness that
makes you crave for the pleasures of the good life. Yet, the
question remains what is the good life? Is it good health?
Is it good food? Is it your family? Is it the wealth that
you have accumulated? Is it a sound mind? All these questions
I have had to ask my self…The answer is yes I have a
good life, a good family and good friends. I am healthy, wealthy
and well fed. I have a family that has been supportive of
my career since day one. A family that continues to nourish
my mind and my soul. A family that has five generations of
women living. A family that taught me that “I am somebody.”
A family that raised me to be all I can be. A family that
taught unity among the races, be pleasant to all faces, and
travel to many places. My friends have given me unconditional
love. Been there for me when I could not be there for myself.
My friends have taught me lessons and in return we both were
rewarded with a stronger bond to promote kindness and sincerity
to our peers. My personal relationships have taught me patience
and understanding. My children are teaching me that there
is more to life than life itself. The business and corporate
world has taught me that the glass ceiling is shattering around
us.
On this note, I must say I am truly blessed. I thank all
